Purchasing Staff

S upports procurement by ordering goods, managing supplier relations, tracking orders, and maintaining records, focusing on getting the best value (quality, price, timely delivery) for the company, handling tasks from requisitions to invoice reconciliation and ensuring stock levels meet operational needs .
Responsibilities
- Sourcing & Negotiation: Researching, finding, and vetting suppliers, negotiating prices, terms, and contracts for materials, goods, and services.
- Order Managemen t: Creating and processing purchase orders, tracking shipments, verifying deliveries, and handling discrepancies (damaged, short, over-supplied goods).
- Inventory Support : Monitoring stock levels, performing inspections, and reordering supplies to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of orders, payments, supplier details, and generating reports.
- Supplier Relations: Building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors, ensuring smooth communication.
- Internal Coordination: Working with other departments (warehouse, finance, operations) to understand needs and resolve issues.
- Essential Skills:

- Excellent communication (verbal/written) and interpersonal skills.
- Negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency with relevant software (e.g., Microsoft Office, procurement systems).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
