Senior Loan Processor

This role supports an established New Zealand mortgage brokerage with the preparation and management of home loan applications, from lodgement through to settlement and post settlement. You will work alongside experienced advisers and a dedicated team leader to keep files moving, maintain accuracy and compliance, and give clients a smooth, well communicated experience. This is a fully remote, work from home position.

We are looking for someone with a high ceiling. Not just capable today, but proactive, curious, and ready to grow into greater responsibility over time. Attitude and appetite to learn matter here as much as existing experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist advisers in reviewing, preparing, and packaging home loan applications

• Collect and verify supporting documentation from clients and third parties

• Liaise with lenders to monitor application status and help move approvals along

• Keep clients updated with timely, clear communication on application progress

• Maintain accurate file notes and records within the business's systems

• Ensure compliance with lending guidelines, regulations, and company policy

• Support the wider team with loan processing administration as required

• Conduct post settlement check-ins with clients

What We Are Looking For

• Prior experience in a mortgage broking support or loan processing role. New Zealand experience is ideal, though Australian experience is equally welcome, as the processes and lenders work in very similar ways

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay accurate under pressure

• Excellent organisational and time management skills

• Strong written and verbal English communication

• A proactive mindset and genuine appetite to learn

• Comfortable working within a team and reporting to a team leader

• Confident using CRM platforms, Microsoft 365, and general online tools

• Adaptable, with the willingness to learn the business's own custom systems and processes

Nice to Have

• Experience across multiple lenders and loan types

• Exposure to NZ or AU aggregator platforms (not essential, as the business runs its own custom CRM)

Requirements

• Stable work-from-home setup (reliable internet, laptop/desktop, quiet workspace)

• Proactive attitude, able to follow up clients, lenders, and third parties without being prompted
