Junior Category Buyer

Key Responsibilities:
1. Reviews purchase requests.
2. Confers with other departments to verify orders.
3. Contacts vendors and evaluating bids and proposal offered by suppliers.
4. Aids with various purchasing procedures, inventories, accounts, proposals and similar preparations.
5. Prepares purchase order after careful review of purchase requests.
6. Coordinates with suppliers regarding changes on the PO.
7. Prepares monthly P.O. summary
8. Coordinates with the stores regarding P.O. and delivery.
9. Negotiating prices and terms of sale with suppliers.
10. Determining whether orders meet specifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Marketing, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in merchandising, purchasing, or procurement.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Detail-oriented with good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
