Job Summary
The Sales Manager – Construction is responsible for driving revenue growth by securing new projects, managing key client accounts, and leading the sales team. The role focuses on project-based selling, relationship management with contractors and developers, and achieving company sales targets within the construction sector.
Responsibilities
Business Development
- Identify and pursue new project opportunities (commercial, residential, industrial)
- Build relationships with developers, contractors, architects, and consultants
- Participate in bidding and tender processes
- Monitor construction market trends and competitor activity
Sales Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet revenue targets
- Prepare sales forecasts and pipeline reports
- Set sales targets for the team and monitor performance
Client Management
- Maintain strong relationships with key accounts
- Conduct client presentations and product demonstrations
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms
Team Leadership
- Lead, train, and mentor sales executives
- Conduct performance evaluations
- Ensure alignment with company goals and KPIs
Coordination & Reporting
- Work closely with Engineering, Operations, and Procurement teams
- Ensure smooth project handover from sales to operations
- Provide regular sales performance reports to management
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related field
- 5+ years of sales experience in construction / building materials / engineering services
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets
- Strong network within construction industry is an advantage
- Experience in handling government and private sector projects
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
