The Handyman is responsible for performing general maintenance, repair, and upkeep of facilities and equipment to ensure a safe, clean, and well-functioning environment. This role handles minor repairs and assists with preventive maintenance tasks as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general repairs such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of facilities and equipment
- Repair or replace damaged fixtures, fittings, and minor equipment
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of work areas
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs
- Assist in installation and relocation of furniture, fixtures, and equipment
- Report major repair needs to the supervisor or management
- Ensure tools and materials are properly maintained and stored
- Follow safety procedures and company policies
Qualifications
- High School Graduate or Vocational/Technical Course is an advantage
- At least 1–2 years of experience as a Handyman, Maintenance Staff, or similar role
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general maintenance
- Physically fit and able to perform manual work
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Honest, reliable, and detail-oriented
- Willing to work flexible schedules and respond to urgent repairs
