Sales Engineer (Solar PV | Renewables | Batteries)

Role Overview

The Sales Engineer drives revenue growth by combining technical expertise with consultative selling to develop tailored energy solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial clients. The role covers the full sales cycle, from site assessment and solution design to technical presentations, proposal development, and deal closing. Experience in the solar energy, electrical equipment, renewable energy, or related technical industries is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• With 2–4 years of experience in technical sales  within the solar energy, renewable energy, electrical equipment, power systems, or related industries .
• Strong understanding of solar PV systems , including grid-tied, hybrid, and off-grid configurations, as well as inverters, battery storage systems, and basic electrical design.
• Experience or familiarity with solar, battery energy storage, and EV charging solutions is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or PVsyst is an advantage.
• Proven ability to conduct technical consultations, client presentations, solution recommendations, and commercial negotiations .
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical clients.
• Customer-oriented, self-motivated, and results-driven, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Proficient in CRM platforms, Google Workspace, and sales quotation/proposal tools .
• Willingness to conduct fieldwork and site visit s , including rooftop inspections and assessments under varying weather conditions.
• Willing to travel throughout Luzon as required.
• Valid driver's license is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage prospective clients, understand their energy requirements, and recommend appropriate solar PV, battery storage, and EV charging solutions.
• Conduct technical consultations and presentations, translating customer requirements into practical and commercially viable energy solutions.
• Perform site assessments to evaluate roof or ground conditions, electrical infrastructure, shading, and structural feasibility.
• Develop preliminary solar system designs, energy yield estimates, cost-benefit analyses, quotations, and technical proposals.
• Manage client relationships throughout the end-to-end sales cycle, from lead generation and initial consultation through proposal presentation, negotiation, and deal closing.
• Identify customer needs and provide customized solutions that balance technical feasibility, energy requirements, and commercial considerations.
• Maintain accurate records of leads, sales opportunities, proposals, and deal progress through the CRM system.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with residential, commercial, and industrial accounts to support repeat business and long-term partnerships.
• Coordinate with the Engineering team to ensure proper project handover and alignment between proposed solutions and project requirements.
• Work closely with Procurement regarding equipment availability, product specifications, pricing, and lead times.
• Monitor sales pipeline and follow up on opportunities to achieve individual and overall revenue and sales targets.
