Data Engineering Analytics Lead

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks an Analytics Lead – Data Engineering to oversee data infrastructure implementation, manage ETL workflows, and support AI-enabled analytics systems for the Communications function. The role involves technical leadership across pipelines, data modeling, and analytics platforms while coordinating a Manila-based team.
Responsibilities
- Lead data engineering and technical infrastructure implementation including ingestion, pipelines, transformations, and storage solutions
- Design and maintain data models, ETL workflows, and semantic infrastructure aligned with architectural standards
- Support development and implementation of AI-enabled analytics workflows and integrations
- Perform statistical analysis to identify patterns, drivers, and insights for business questions
- Coordinate execution across Manila-based team members and escalate issues requiring management attention
Requirements
- Expertise in data engineering and analytics infrastructure design and implementation
- Proficiency with SQL, Python/PySpark, Power Query, and ETL/ELT tools
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse or equivalent cloud data platforms
- Knowledge of data modeling, transformation, and performance optimization
- Demonstrated capability in leading technical teams or coordinating cross-functional work
- Understanding of AI/ML integration and API-based analytics workflows
