Mold Supervisor

The Mold Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the mold maintenance and repair section to ensure the efficient and continuous operation of production molds. The role includes supervising mold technicians, monitoring mold performance, implementing preventive maintenance activities, and ensuring molds are maintained in excellent working condition to support production quality, productivity, and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Graduate of Industrial Technology or any Engineering-related course.
- With at least two (2) years of supervisory experience in a plastic molding company.
- Knowledgeable in mold cleaning, repair, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of molds used in production processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent leadership and people management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities efficiently.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor the daily activities of mold maintenance personnel and technicians.
- Ensure proper cleaning, repair, and preventive maintenance of molds to minimize downtime and production delays.
- Analyze mold-related issues and implement corrective actions to improve mold performance and production efficiency.
- Coordinate with Production, Engineering, and Quality departments regarding mold concerns and improvement activities.
- Maintain records of mold history, maintenance schedules, repairs, and spare parts usage.
- Ensure molds are operating according to quality and safety standards.
- Provide technical guidance, coaching, and performance monitoring to team members.
- Recommend improvements in mold maintenance procedures and operational processes.
- Monitor inventory and availability of mold spare parts, tools, and consumables.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and 5S practices within the work area.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and operational efficiency.
