Key Responsibilities
- Cut, trim, bone, grind, and prepare meats according to company standards
- Portion and package meat products for display and sale
- Maintain clean and sanitary work areas in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Operate and maintain meat cutting equipment safely
- Monitor product quality and rotate inventory properly
- Assist customers with meat selection, special orders, and cooking recommendations
- Receive and store meat shipments properly
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a butcher or meat cutter preferred
- Knowledge of various cuts of beef, pork, poultry, and seafood
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Ability to use knives, grinders, slicers, and other meat processing equipment
- Strong attention to detail and customer service skills
