Planner

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Develop and implement a supply chain strategy aligned with the company’s overall business objectives 

• Develop and manage supplier relationships, ensuring timely deliveries and quality standards 

• Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives, such as negotiating favorable contracts 

• Monitor and control supply chain expenses 

• Stay up to date with evolving food safety and regulatory requirements 

• Oversee the efficient movement of goods from suppliers to customers, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution 

• Ensure adherence to quality standards throughout the supply chain 

• Optimize inventory levels to balance supply and demand 

• Develop contingency plans to mitigate supply chain disruptions and minimize risks. 

• Manage the procurement process, including supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of raw materials and packaging. 

• Work with Plant Manager to ensure production processes align with supply chain plans, optimizing production schedules to minimize downtime and increase efficiency 

• Monitor the supply of raw materials to ensure availability and minimize stock outs or overstock situations, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS 

• Graduate with a degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field. 

• 3-5 years of experience as a Inventory Control Officer in a Food Manufacturing Business 

• Strong understanding of Food Safety regulations 

• Proficiency in Supply Chain management software 

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills 

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
