As a Senior Service Desk Representative – Identity & Access Management (IAM) , you will be responsible for managing user identities, provisioning and deprovisioning access, supporting access-related incidents and requests, and ensuring compliance with organizational security policies within the Retail Division – Business Applications. You'll serve as an escalation point for Tier 1 analysts, safeguard least-privilege access across enterprise applications, and drive improvements that make identity and access management faster, safer, and more reliable.
What you'll do at Insight
Identity & Access Management
- Perform provisioning and deprovisioning activities across business applications.
- Manage role-based access assignments in accordance with approved access models and least-privilege principles.
- Support onboarding, transfers, and offboarding activities by ensuring timely access changes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve access-related incidents involving business applications.
- Support password resets within the business applications.
Security & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to IAM, security, and compliance policies.
- Participate in periodic access reviews, audits, and certification activities (ARA).
- Maintain accurate documentation of access approvals, changes, and audit evidence.
Service Desk Operations
- Serve as an escalation point for Tier 1 analysts regarding access and authentication issues for Retail Business Applications.
- Ensure access requests and incidents are completed within SLA targets.
- Monitor ticket queues and prioritize critical access requests impacting business operations.
- Contribute to knowledge articles, process documentation, and standard operating procedures.
Leadership & Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to automate access management tasks and improve efficiency.
- Participate in project initiatives involving IAM tools.
- Support process improvements that enhance user experience and compliance.
What you'll need to join Insight
- 3–5+ years of Service Desk, IAM, Security Operations, or Systems Administration experience.
- Experience managing user accounts, permissions, and group memberships in enterprise environments.
- Experience with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow.
- Microsoft Active Directory
- Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
- Single Sign-On (SSO)
- Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
- Privileged Access Management (PAM/PIM)
- Identity Governance
