North Fairview, Quezon City Full-Time About the roleElyong’s Ihaw-Ihaw and Restaurant is looking for a reliable and experienced Line Cook to join our kitchen team in North Fairview, Quezon City.
The Line Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to our standardized recipes, portion sizes, and plating standards. You will work closely with the Kitchen Supervisor and other kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared accurately, consistently, and on time.
This role is suited for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant kitchen and takes pride in food quality, cleanliness, teamwork, and consistency.
What you'll be doingPrepare and cook menu items according to approved recipes and portion standards
Complete daily mise en place before and during service
Handle assigned kitchen stations such as grill/ihaw, fry, sauté, wok, hot kitchen, or prep
Follow order tickets accurately and coordinate with other kitchen stations
Maintain consistent taste, portioning, presentation, and food quality
Check ingredients for freshness and proper condition before use
Follow FIFO/FEFO, proper food storage, labeling, and temperature-control procedures
Monitor ingredients and report low stocks or shortages to the Kitchen Supervisor
Minimize food waste, spoilage, and overproduction
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation
Properly clean and care for kitchen tools, utensils, and equipment
Follow food-safety, sanitation, personal-hygiene, and workplace-safety procedures
Assist with food preparation for KTV orders, group reservations, events, and special functions
Participate in recipe training, food tastings, and kitchen training sessions
Assist with opening and closing kitchen procedures
Report food-quality concerns, equipment issues, or operational problems to the Kitchen Supervisor
Perform other reasonable kitchen duties assigned by the Kitchen Supervisor or Restaurant Manager
Previous experience as a Line Cook, Cook, Kitchen Crew, Commis, or similar kitchen role
Preferably at least 1–2 years of professional kitchen experience
Experience in Filipino cuisine, ihaw/grill, casual dining, or high-volume restaurant operations is an advantage
Knowledge of basic food preparation and cooking techniques
Able to follow standardized recipes and portion controls accurately
Knowledge of proper food handling, storage, hygiene, and sanitation
Able to work efficiently during busy service periods
Good time-management and organizational skills
Able to handle multiple orders and coordinate with other kitchen stations
Dependable, punctual, disciplined, and willing to follow kitchen procedures
Able to work well with a team
Physically capable of standing for extended periods and performing normal kitchen duties
Willing to work shifting schedules, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Willing to work on-site in North Fairview, Quezon City
Formal culinary training is an advantage but not required for applicants with strong practical kitchen experience .
