Motion Graphics Animator

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and imaginative Motion Graphics Animator to bring visual stories to life. In this role, you will lead the creative execution of dynamic 2D and 3D animated content across an array of digital platforms, including web, mobile, and social media. You will guide projects from the initial concept and storyboarding phases all the way to final, high-fidelity delivery, ensuring a seamless alignment with both internal creative directions and client objectives.

Responsibilities

• Concept & Pre-Production: Conceptualize original ideas and develop detailed storyboards, style frames, and animatics to map out narrative flows and visualize complex animation sequences.
• Animation & Production: Produce premium-quality 2D and 3D motion graphics, kinetic typography, and character animations that captivate audiences and elevate brand messaging.
• End-to-End Delivery: Handle the complete motion workflow, from asset preparation and rigging to final compositing, rendering, and cross-platform formatting.
• Problem Solving & Iteration: Proactively troubleshoot technical and creative challenges during production, efficiently incorporating feedback from the Creative Director and clients under tight timelines.
• Present storyboards and motion concepts directly to clients.
• Articulate the creative logic behind timing and motion choices.
• Professionally translate client feedback into technical animation revisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Animation, Digital Arts, Graphic Design, or a related creative discipline (equivalent proven agency/production house experience will also be highly considered).
• A strong motion graphics showreel showcasing a diverse range of styles, smooth pacing, and flawless execution in character movement and transitions.
• Highly organized, proactive, and resilient when managing multiple fast-moving projects simultaneously.
• Strong willingness to learn, experiment with new animation trends, and adapt to evolving studio workflows.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to confidently present storyboards and motion concepts directly to clients.
• Ability to articulate the creative logic behind timing and motion choices and professionally translate client feedback into technical animation revisions.
• Expert proficiency in Adobe After Effects (for motion graphics, compositing, and character animation).
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro (for video editing and pacing).
• Advanced working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator to manipulate, layer, and prepare vector files and raster assets for animation.
• Strong knowledge of 2D and 3D Motion Theory, Character Animation/Rigging, Kinetic Typography, Storyboarding, Spatial Awareness, and Animatics.
• Familiarity with 3D software such as Cinema 4D or Blender is a plus.
• Experience with advanced AI-assisted rotoscoping and production pipelines is a plus.
