Strategic Expansion & Investment Manager

Work Setup: Onsite (Makati)

The Strategic Expansion & Investment Manager is responsible for driving the organization's growth agenda by identifying, evaluating, and executing strategic expansion opportunities. The role oversees site acquisition, market analysis, lease negotiations, business case development, and project coordination to support the successful rollout of new facilities, services, and partnerships. In addition, the position plays a pivotal role in expanding the clinic network and service portfolio through mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic alliances, and investment initiatives.

Business Development

• Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, and strategic initiatives to drive revenue growth.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to assess market potential and expansion viability.
• Develop business cases, financial models, and investment analyses for proposed projects.
• Establish and maintain relationships with landlords, developers, brokers, government agencies, and key stakeholders.
• Support the development of new products, services, and channels that enhance the company's market presence.

Site Expansion & Network Development

• Assess prospective locations based on demographics, accessibility, market demand, competition, and financial viability.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure alignment of expansion plans with operational, financial, and strategic requirements.

Financial Due Diligence

• Prepare feasibility studies, return-on-investment analyses, and financial forecasts for expansion projects.
• Evaluate capital expenditure requirements and recommend investment priorities.
• Track project performance against approved business cases and identify opportunities for improvement.

Project Management

• Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Construction, Legal, Procurement, and Marketing teams to facilitate timely project execution.
• Manage project timelines, milestones, and stakeholder communications throughout the expansion process.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and contractual obligations.

Strategic Planning

• Contribute to the development of long-term growth and expansion strategies.
• Analyze industry trends, customer behavior, and competitive developments to identify emerging opportunities.
• Recommend initiatives that improve market penetration, profitability, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Management Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in financial analysis, business planning, financial modeling, feasibility studies, or business development, preferably within the healthcare, clinic, or medical services sector.
• Strong finance background with substantial exposure to financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, investment analysis, capital expenditure evaluation, and financial feasibility assessments.
• Proven experience in evaluating business opportunities, assessing financial viability, and developing business cases to support strategic and investment decisions.
• Experience in site acquisition, lease negotiation, financial evaluation of potential locations, and stakeholder management.
• Familiarity with primary care operations is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights and recommendations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and business intelligence tools, with advanced Excel skills for financial modeling and analysis.
• Excellent negotiation, presentation, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, work with cross-functional teams, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of the Philippine healthcare system, industry dynamics, and regulatory environment is preferred.
