- Assist dentists during procedures by handing instruments and preparing materials.
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment.
- Prepare patients for dental procedures and explain aftercare instructions.
- Take and develop dental X-rays as needed.
- Manage patient records and schedule appointments.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the dental office.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as billing and insurance processing.
- Certification or licensure (depending on state/country requirements).
- Knowledge of dental procedures, tools, and infection control protocols.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Willingness to work in a clinical setting and assist with patient care.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of an accredited dental assistant program (varies by region).
