- A Food Attendant is responsible for ensuring excellent customer service by assisting with the preparation, serving, and cleanliness of food and beverage areas. They work in various settings, including restaurants, cafes, cafeterias, or event venues. Their main role is to create a welcoming environment for customers while supporting the kitchen and front-of-house teams.
- Customer Service: Greet customers, take orders, and provide menu recommendations. Ensure a positive dining experience by offering friendly and prompt service.
- Food & Beverage Service: Serve food and drinks to customers, ensuring accuracy and quality. Deliver orders promptly and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Cleaning and Sanitation: Maintain cleanliness of dining and food preparation areas. Clean tables, utensils, and kitchen equipment as needed.
- Order Taking & Processing: Take customer orders accurately, input them into the system, and relay information to kitchen staff.
- Cash Handling: Process payments, handle cash, and provide accurate change. Maintain proper cash handling procedures.
- Stock Management: Assist in ensuring the food service area is well-stocked with necessary items, such as napkins, condiments, and utensils.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Follow safety guidelines to ensure food is handled and stored properly. Adhere to health and safety regulations in food handling and sanitation.

- Experience: Previous experience in a customer service or food service role is preferred, but not always required. Training may be provided.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and carry heavy trays or items for extended periods.
- Customer-Oriented: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact positively with customers.
- Team Player: Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house staff.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to manage multiple tasks and ensure accuracy in order taking and food serving.
- Knowledge of Food Safety: Understanding of basic food safety standards, including proper handling, storing, and preparing of food.
- Flexibility: Availability to work during peak hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 25-30 pounds, bend, and move quickly in a fast-paced environment.
