- Customer Service: Greet and assist customers with their purchases, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Transaction Processing: Accurately process cash, credit, and debit card payments through the register.
- Product Scanning: Scan items quickly and efficiently, ensuring all prices and discounts are correctly applied.
- Cash Handling: Manage cash drawer, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded, and balance the register at the start and end of shifts.
- Inventory Support: Assist with stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and maintaining cleanliness in the checkout area.
- Basic Math Skills: Ability to handle cash and perform simple mathematical calculations.
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring all transactions and prices are processed correctly.
- Customer-Focused: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers in a friendly manner.
- Experience: Prior experience in a retail or cashier role is preferred, but not always required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light to moderate weight when necessary.
