- Customer Service: Greet and assist customers, ensuring a positive shopping experience, while addressing any inquiries regarding products or services.
- Cash Handling: Accurately process transactions, handle cash, credit, and debit payments, and provide change as necessary.
- Inventory Management: Assist with restocking shelves, organizing products, and keeping the cashier area clean and tidy.
- Receipt Management: Issue receipts, process returns or exchanges, and maintain transaction records in accordance with company policy.
- Compliance and Security: Follow company guidelines for cash handling, security procedures, and ensure that all transactions are performed in a secure and efficient manner.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent: Basic education and a foundation in mathematics and customer service.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately handle transactions and monitor for any discrepancies in payments or receipts.
- Strong Communication Skills: Good verbal communication to interact with customers and team members effectively.
- Basic Math Skills: Comfort with performing quick calculations and managing cash flow.
- Previous Experience (Preferred): Experience in retail or customer-facing roles is a plus, but not always required.
