Trade Operations Assistant (US CLIENT)

Job Overview

We are hiring a Trade Operations Analyst to support a global organisation operating in environmental and commodity markets. This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end lifecycle of transactions across environmental commodities, including contract administration, inventory management, and maintaining accurate records across internal systems and third-party platforms.

This is a detail-driven, high-volume operations role ideal for someone who thrives in structured environments, enjoys working with data, and can maintain accuracy under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute trade receipts and deliveries across multiple platforms with high accuracy
  
• Maintain and reconcile inventory across internal databases and external systems
  
• Act as a key point of contact for external partners regarding trade and contractual obligations
  
• Ensure all contractual requirements are fulfilled by internal teams and counterparties
  
• Support process improvements and automation initiatives to increase efficiency
  
• Assist in transitioning and adapting to new systems and platforms
  
• Provide internal support by retrieving and explaining transaction data
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Accounting, Contracts, and Trading
  
• Support audits, reconciliations, reporting, and data analysis tasks
  
• Identify discrepancies and proactively suggest improvements to reduce risk and enhance workflows
  

Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience in operations, trading support, finance, or similar environments
  
• Experience in commodity trading, financial operations, or transactional processing is highly regarded
  
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/Index Match, data manipulation)
  
• Experience working with databases or SQL is a strong advantage
  
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage complex datasets
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams
  
• Adaptable to new systems and changing business needs
  
• Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
  
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
