Job description:
Key Responsibilities
- Drafting Plans: Convert rough sketches, notes, and calculations from architects and engineers into clean, precise construction blueprints.
- Creating Shop and As-Built Drawings: Produce specific fabrication or installation guides ( shop drawings ) and final record drawings showing how a project was actually built ( as-built drawings ).
- Checking for Clashes: Review designs to make sure different systems (like electrical, plumbing, and structural elements) do not overlap or conflict.
- Revising Drafts: Update existing plans quickly when site conditions change or when managers give feedback.
- Site Coordination: Visit construction sites or talk with project teams to check if a design is practical and fits local building rules.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Atleast 2-4 years Graduate in Drafting Technology, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Software Skills: Strong, proven skill in using AutoCAD (2D and sometimes 3D) alongside basic office software.
- Technical Knowledge: Ability to read complex architectural, structural, and MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) blueprints.
- Attention to Detail: High accuracy to prevent costly measurement or labeling mistakes on the job site.
