The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures to assist physicians in the accurate diagnosis and treatment of patients. The role ensures high-quality imaging while maintaining patient safety, comfort, and radiation protection standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform radiologic imaging procedures such as X-ray and related diagnostic exams
- Prepare and position patients correctly for imaging procedures
- Operate and maintain radiologic equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Ensure proper radiation safety and protection for patients and staff
- Review images for quality and accuracy before submission to the physician
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation
- Follow infection control, safety protocols, and clinic policies
- Assist in explaining procedures to patients to ensure comfort and cooperation
- Coordinate with physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding imaging results
- Ensure cleanliness and proper functioning of the radiology area and equipment
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Radiologic Technology
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist (PRC)
- With or without experience (fresh board passers are welcome)
- Knowledge of radiologic safety and imaging procedures
