Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field
- Certification by ARDMS or equivalent
- State licensure if required
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with various ultrasound modalities (e.g., OB/GYN, vascular, cardiac)
- Basic computer and data entry skills
- Commitment to patient care and confidentiality
Responsibilities:
- Operate ultrasound equipment to capture diagnostic images
- Prepare patients for procedures and explain the process
- Ensure image quality and proper documentation
- Collaborate with physicians to interpret ultrasound results
- Maintain and calibrate ultrasound machines
- Follow safety and infection control protocols
- Assist in training new technologists or students
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging logs
- Stay updated on advancements in ultrasound technology
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients
