Cashier responsibilities include receiving payments and issuing receipts, wrapping packages and keeping track of all cash and credit transactions ensuring all transactions run smoothly and will help maximize customer satisfaction.
- Welcoming customers, answering their questions, and providing recommendations
- Manage transactions with customer using scales, cash registers (POS), and other electronic devices, maintain adequate change denominations in the cash drawer & request for change
- Scan goods and ensure pricing is accurate
- Collect payments, ensuring all prices and quantities are accurate, issuing receipts, refunds, change to every customer
- Reconcile cash drawers, sales receipts, and prepare daily reports
- Reporting to the Supervisor any changes, concerns regarding the use and issues of the POS
- Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information
- Balancing cash register and generating reports for credit and debit sales
- Bagging or wrapping purchases to ensure safe transport
- Cross-sell products and introduce new ones
- Other tasks that may be assigned from time to time
- High School Graduate or at least College Level or equivalent vocational course
- At least one (1) year Customer Service or Cashier experience
- Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly
- High level of energy with strong customer service skills
- Basic math and computer skills
- Ability to stand, walk, lift heavy items, and work with other team members in a fast-paced environment to provide excellent service
