Accounting Assistant - Payables

The Accounting Assistant will be responsible for supporting the company's accounting operations, financial reporting, tax compliance, treasury activities, and audit requirements. The role involves preparing and posting accounting entries, performing account reconciliations, managing fixed assets, supporting tax filings and regulatory submissions, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and government requirements. Key Responsibilities: Accounting Operations

• Prepare and post accounting entries, including depreciation, recurring entries, prepayments, deferrals, accruals, and payroll entries.
• Perform balance sheet settlements and account reconciliations, including AP accruals, payroll-related accounts, and prepayments.
• Handle fixed asset accounting, including additions, capitalization, retirement, maintenance, and depreciation schedules.
• Post batch accounting entries from other business units into SAP.
• Support SAP user maintenance and related accounting system activities.

• Prepare and review tax computations, filings, and remittances in accordance with company guidelines.
• Ensure timely and accurate posting of tax-related accounting entries.
• Coordinate requirements for permit renewals, including ATP, CAS, and business permits.
• Prepare and review financial reports and documents required by government agencies such as the BIR, LGU, IC, and BSP.
• Coordinate the preparation, review, and submission of regulatory reports and required attachments.
• Assist in resolving discrepancies and compliance-related concerns.
• Coordinate with government agencies regarding regulatory submissions, audits, and reviews.

• Prepare audit schedules for assigned accounts.
• Coordinate with other departments or account owners in compiling audit schedules and requirements for financial statement disclosures.
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of audit schedules and supporting documents.
• Assist in internal and external audit requirements and provide necessary accounting documentation.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and tax regulations.
• Proficient in SAP and other accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience in preparing financial statements, tax filings, reconciliations, and audit schedules is an advantage.
