The Role As Demi Chef de Partie, you will support the smooth operation of a specific section of the kitchen, assisting in the preparation and presentation of dishes to the highest standards. This role offers the opportunity to refine your culinary skills, contribute to the success of the team, and be part of the exciting pre-opening journey of Mandarin Oriental Makati. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in supervising and coordinating a kitchen section (grill, sauce, pastry, or larder).
- Prepare and cook dishes consistently to the highest quality standards.
- Maintain mise en place and ensure readiness for service.
- Support inventory management and stock rotation for your section.
- Uphold hygiene, safety, and sustainability practices at all times.
- Work closely with Commis Chefs, offering guidance and support when needed.
- Contribute to the pre-opening process by assisting with kitchen setup, equipment checks, and operational readiness.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Previous experience as a Demi Chef de Partie or Commis Chef in a luxury hotel or fine dining environment.
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of international cuisines and modern cooking techniques.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and grow.
- Commitment to high standards of hygiene, safety, and food quality.
