About the role
Mocasa is looking for a Finance & Accounting Officer to join our growing team. The role involves handling monthly closing, journal entries, general ledger, and financial reports, managing daily cash, payments, collections, and petty cash, preparing and filing tax returns, maintaining accounting and tax-related documents, coordinating with banks, BIR, auditors, and other external parties, and assisting with Annual Financial Statements and annual audits.
Key responsibilities
Handle monthly closing, journal entries, general ledger, and financial reports
Manage daily cash, payments, collections, and petty cash
Prepare and file tax returns, including CWT, EWT, VAT, GRT, and ITR
Maintain accounting and tax-related documents
Coordinate with banks, BIR, auditors, and other external parties
Assist with Annual Financial Statements (AFS) and annual audits
Perform other accounting and finance tasks as assigned
About you
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
At least 3 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, and/or taxation
Strong knowledge of accounting and taxation principles
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy
Good communication and stress management skills
Committed to long-term career growth
