Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Nutrition, or related field
- With 1–2 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Food Safety, or Commissary/Food Production
- Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, sanitation, and food safety standards
- Familiarity with quality control procedures and food handling practices
- Experience in conducting product inspection, monitoring, and quality checks
- Knowledge in documentation, reports, and quality records
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Willing to work in a commissary/production environment
- Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays if required
- Preferably with Food Safety Certification or relevant training
Position Overview:
The Quality Assurance Staff is responsible for ensuring that all food products prepared and handled in the commissary meet established quality, safety, sanitation, and food handling standards . The role involves monitoring food production processes, conducting inspections, maintaining documentation, and ensuring compliance with GMP, HACCP, and food safety regulations .
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor food preparation and production processes to ensure compliance with quality and food safety standards.
- quality inspections and checks of raw materials, ingredients, in-process products, and finished products.
- Check proper food handling, storage, temperature, sanitation, and hygiene practices .
- Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, sanitation procedures, and company food safety policies .
- Monitor critical control points and report any deviations or food safety concerns.
- Conduct regular inspections of production areas, equipment, storage areas, and personnel practices.
- Maintain accurate QA records, inspection reports, monitoring logs, and other quality documentation .
- Coordinate with Production, Warehouse, and other departments regarding quality and food safety concerns.
- Assist in investigating customer complaints, product defects, and other quality-related incidents.
- Support food safety training and proper sanitation practices among commissary staff.
- Ensure proper labeling, packaging, storage, and handling of food products.
- Perform other quality assurance tasks assigned by the supervisor or management.
