Food Technologist

Key Responsibilities: Food Technology Duties:
- Conduct product development, testing, and evaluation for new and existing food products.
- Monitor food safety standards and ensure compliance with local regulations (FDA, DOH, etc.).
- Implement and maintain food safety systems such as HACCP, GMP, and ISO.
- Investigate quality issues and assist in corrective/preventive action planning.
- Assist in the preparation and updating of technical documentation (e.g., product specifications, SOPs, MSDS).
- Coordinate with suppliers and production teams for ingredient sourcing and quality checks.
- Participate in audits, inspections, and internal reviews.
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate records of product testing, development logs, and regulatory documents.
- Assist in scheduling, training sessions, and inspections.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and communication materials for internal and external use.
- Support purchasing activities by coordinating with vendors and maintaining supply inventories.
- Handle administrative paperwork and filling
- Perform general office support tasks as needed (e.g., answering emails, document preparation).
- Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Technology, or related field.
- Experience Level: Less than 1 year of relevant experience.
- Skills and Competencies: Strong analytical skills, knowledge of food safety regulations, and proficiency in laboratory techniques.
- Working Conditions: Primarily office and laboratory settings, adhering to safety protocols.
- Qualities and Traits: Detail-oriented, proactive, and excellent problem-solving skills.
