Korean Interpreter/Translator

Job description:

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide accurate verbal interpretation between Korean and English/Filipino during:
• Meetings
• Trainings
• Administrative conferences
• Client communications
• Safety briefings
• Disciplinary meetings
• Translate written documents from Korean to English/Filipino and vice versa, including:
• Memorandums
• Reports
• Emails
• Company notices
• Manuals
• Contracts
• Policies and procedures
• Assist Korean personnels in communicating instructions, operational concerns, and company policies to employees.
• Accompany Korean executives, visitors, auditors, or clients during official company activities when interpretation assistance is required.
• Ensure proper interpretation of technical, operational, and administrative terms to avoid misunderstanding or miscommunication.
• Maintain confidentiality of company information, employee records, trade secrets, and sensitive business matters.
• Coordinate with various departments regarding translation and communication requirements.
• Prepare translated reports, meeting minutes, and other documentation as required by management.
• Assist in administrative and clerical functions when necessary.
• Promote professionalism, cultural sensitivity, and harmonious working relationships between Korean and Filipino employees.
• Assist the Marketing and Sales Department in promotional, client coordination, and business development activities when interpretation services are not required.
• Support sales and marketing operations including client communication, product presentation assistance, preparation of reports, coordination with customers, and business correspondence.
• Participate in marketing events, client meetings, and company presentations as assigned by management.
• Perform other administrative, operational, marketing, and sales-related duties that may be assigned by management from time to time consistent with business needs.

Qualifications:

• Must be a Filipino citizen
• Graduate of any four (4)-year course
• Fluent in Korean, English, and Filipino languages (written and spoken)
• TOPIK certification is an advantage
• With experience in interpretation and translation is preferred
• With knowledge or experience in marketing and sales activities is an advantage
• Capable of performing administrative, marketing, sales, and business support functions when interpretation duties are not required
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
• Willing to work on-site, travel for business activities, and render overtime when necessary
• Able to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks
