NorthStar Inc. is a young Philippine consumer products company launching its first beauty and personal care brand. We’re finishing our own FDA-licensed filling facility in Sta. Rosa: a 1,200 sqm unit with a cleanroom filling hall and an automated imported filling line. Plans and equipment are being finalized now. Next comes the build, the installation and the first production runs.The role
You’ll be the person in charge of the facility, on site every day. First you’ll see the build and installation through. Then you’ll run production. You’ll report directly to the CEO and have the authority to make calls on the floor.We’re looking for someone who takes ownership, follows things through without being chased, and spots a problem before it becomes one.
What you’ll do
Supervise the facility build on site daily: contractors, schedule, quality of work, punch lists and handover
Lead installation of the cleanroom, HVAC, compressed air and racking alongside visiting supplier technicians
Receive, install and commission the filling line, including acceptance testing and the early shakedown
Build and train the production team for two shifts: operators, packers and shift leads
Run daily operations: production scheduling, machine changeovers, maintenance, materials and output
Keep the facility inspection-ready with our QA & Regulatory Officer (GMP, safety, housekeeping)
Report weekly on output, downtime, issues and what you need from management
Your first 90 days
Take ownership of the site and the build schedule
Get the cleanroom and filling line installed and running
Hire and train the first production crew
Run the first production batches
What we’re looking for
Engineering degree (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical or Chemical); licensed engineer is a strong plus
5+ years in manufacturing, with supervisory experience on the production floor (FMCG, cosmetics, pharma or food preferred)
Hands-on experience with at least one line installation, facility start-up or fit-out
Comfortable with automated machinery, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance
GMP, cleanroom or FDA-regulated facility experience is a big plus
Proactive and persistent. You follow up without being told.
Lives within commuting distance of Sta. Rosa and can be on site full-time
Willing to flex hours during commissioning and launch
