Job description:
- Perform routine maintenance controls of the mechanic equipment and devices of all vehicles.
- Provides for corrective, routine and non-routine maintenance and for repairs of internal combustion engines, pumps and compressors.
- Ensure that all orders and instructions given in writing or verbally are fully understood and adhered to.
- Ensure that all safety routines are followed.
- Promptly report all accidents and near-miss accidents.
- React timely to all corrective action requests.
- Attends and promote the safety meetings and have special safety meetings with his mechanic crew whenever necessary.
- Ensure good housekeeping in his/her area
- Be familiar with all relevant work and safety procedures and promote the implementation of same.
- Ensure that his subordinates use compulsory protective equipment and are safety minded in their day to day work.
- Be familiar with all the company rules and regulation applicable to his area of responsibility.
- Ensures that before and maintenance activity is started, a proper risk evaluation is carried out precautions have been taken.
- Uses compulsory protective equipment and be safety minded during his/her day to day work.
- Familiarize himself with reporting routines regarding maintenance system.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- With a strong background in diagnosing and repairing various types of vehicles or machinery
- Relevant mechanic certifications is advantageous
- Expert in repairs and diagnostics
- Experience leading or mentoring other mechanics
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Good communication with team
- Accurate in repairs and inspections
