Food Shop Associate

The Food Shop Associate is responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations in the Trading Store and for submitting reports in a timely manner. They shall have a reporting line to Accounting, Treasury & Credit & Collection department in the Head Office. Duties and Responsibilities Regular Branch Transactions
- Inspects quality and actual count/ heaviness of boxes delivered
- Processes Sales Order by recording transactions in the system
- Endorses the Sales Order to the Picker
- Assists the customer in checking the actual count of boxes dispatched and signing the release form
- Ensures correct payment of customer and checks for counterfeit bills
- Maintains filing of hard copy receipts and invoices, scans and sends soft copy to Accounting
- Deposits accumulated cash payments in the safety vault. For shops with cash360, Food Shop associate is also responsible for machine deposits and coin collection coordination with Credit & Collection department.
- Coordinate with Sales & Operations Agent regarding walk in customer demand & transactions
- Manage customers, assist in order taking and consolidation
- Assist Food Shop Sales & Operations Agent in acquiring customers with a monthly target
- Ensure customer service satisfaction
- Prepares the Start of Day (SOD) and End of Day (EOD) inventory reports by extracting Quantity on Hand (QoH) information from the system.
- Prepares Cash on Hand report at the start of end of shift, including logs of vault and machine deposits.
- Prepares Daily Sales Reports
- Submit all reports to the accounting and treasury teams by End of Day
- Facilitates deposit and withdrawal of cash in the vault
- Reconciliation of daily sales remittance
- Endorsement of cash to bank representative for cash pick-up
- Handling of petty cash and change fund
- Oversees daily performance of branch team
- Provides training and mentoring for branch team
- Ensures compliance to Company Code of Conduct including attendance
- Implements safety protocols and COVID-19 preventive measures in the trading store
- Facilitate weekly branch alignment
- Performs other tasks as may be assigned from time to time
- Complies with the Company’s Quality Management System.
- Graduate of any course but Accounting Technology/ Bookkeeping is preferred
- 1 year work experience in store keeping, inventory and cash handling
- Have experience in handling a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and trainable in MD365
- High attention to detail
- High level of reliability and integrit
- Based or willing to be based on the shop’s location
