Master Data Management Specialist

As an MDM Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the technical architecture and solutions for Master Data Management (MDM) platforms. The role focuses on ensuring the scalability, security, performance, and reliability of MDM platforms and integrations while aligning solutions with enterprise data strategies and governance standards.

Key Responsibilities

Project Build & Development

• Collaborate with Systems Analysts, Architects, Business Teams, and other stakeholders to develop detailed technical designs based on business requirements and established architecture standards.
• Participate in impact assessments and risk analysis and develop implementation plans based on solution design decisions.
• Develop and review application code in accordance with approved functional and technical designs, methodologies, and development standards.
• Maximize platform capabilities and tools to develop robust, efficient, maintainable, and reusable solutions while minimizing impact on existing modules and applications.
• Review code and technical solutions covering system interfaces, validations, error handling, processing rules, access controls, security, audit controls, recovery procedures, and contingency plans.
• Develop configurations and scripts based on approved functional and technical designs for package deployment.
• Create and maintain technical documentation in accordance with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) requirements.

Testing

• Design and develop test cases for Unit Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Conduct Unit Testing and SIT based on project and platform requirements.
• Provide support during SIT and UAT activities.
• Ensure test data preparation is aligned with approved end-to-end test scenarios.
• Execute and document test plans, results, and findings.
• Monitor and report project progress, risks, and technical issues to the Delivery or Project Manager in a timely manner.

Deployment & Post-Production Support

• Prepare deployment packages, configuration files, scripts, and installation guides across different environments.
• Ensure proper technical documentation, knowledge transfer, and handover to the Operations Team prior to Go-Live or within agreed timelines.
• Provide Level 3 technical support and production standby after Go-Live.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to data quality, integration, MDM platforms, and system performance.

Platform & MDM Responsibilities

• Maintain centralized technical documentation for MDM platforms and ensure project-related changes are properly documented.
• Support MDM-related initiatives, including data analysis, data quality, data governance, integration, and platform enhancements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of MDM processes, tools, and technical solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience working on projects involving Data Analytics, Big Data, Master Data Management (MDM), or related data platforms.
• Hands-on experience delivering at least 2 end-to-end projects involving enterprise data solutions.

Technical Skills

• MDM / Informatica: Hands-on experience with Informatica MDM, including:
• Informatica MDM Hub
• Informatica Data Director (IDD)
• MDM Hub Console
• MDM configuration
• Data modeling
• Data quality
• BDM / BDQ
• Experience with Enterprise ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and data integration.
• Experience with Customer 360 solutions, provisioning tools, and MDM APIs.
• Strong SQL skills for querying, manipulating, and analyzing databases.
• Knowledge of Python, Java, or other programming languages is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of Master Data Management concepts , including data quality, data governance, integration, synchronization, and data stewardship.
• Understanding of software development methodologies, SDLC, Agile practices , and project delivery processes.
• Knowledge of data architecture, application integration, and enterprise data solutions.
• Familiarity with financial products and business processes is an advantage.
