About the Role

Are you an experienced Snowflake professional ready to lead advanced data engineering initiatives? We are looking for a skilled Snowflake Lead / Senior Data Engineer to design, develop, and optimize scalable data solutions while supporting modern data engineering and Generative AI use cases.

You will lead Snowflake implementations, build high-performance data pipelines, establish data governance practices, and leverage Snowflake’s advanced capabilities to deliver reliable and efficient data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Snowflake Architecture and Engineering

• Lead the implementation of Snowflake solutions across data ingestion, storage, transformation, and data access.

• Drive end-to-end implementation using the latest Snowflake features.

• Develop reusable frameworks, user-defined functions (UDFs), and components using Snowpark or SQL scripting.

• Build performance-optimized data pipelines using Snowflake-native capabilities and modern ELT tools.

• Establish data governance, security models, role-based access control (RBAC), and data masking policies.

• Monitor workloads, troubleshoot performance issues, and optimize Snowflake environments.

Generative AI and Advanced Snowflake Features

• Enable Generative AI use cases using Snowflake’s native capabilities.

• Implement Snowflake Cortex AI features with custom workflows and business logic.

• Work with advanced features such as Dynamic Tables and Snowpipe Streaming.

• Apply best practices for Snowflake performance tuning, clustering, and caching.

Collaboration and Continuous Improvement

• Collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.

• Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and business audiences.

• Contribute to data engineering best practices, governance, security, and performance improvements.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a Snowflake Lead or Data Engineer.

• Strong understanding of Snowflake internals, including performance tuning, clustering, and caching.

• Good command of SQL and Snowflake scripting.

• Experience with at least one cloud platform: AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Knowledge of advanced Snowflake features, including Dynamic Tables, Snowpipe Streaming, and Snowflake Cortex AI.

• Strong understanding of data engineering, ingestion, transformation, and ELT pipelines.

• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

• SnowPro Core Certification is required.

• Willingness to work onsite in Manila on a shifting schedule.
