Maintenance Planner

About the role
This role focuses on establishing and maintaining fleet maintenance planning and scheduling processes, managing mobile assets within the Pronto CMMS system, and coordinating fleet operations and procurement activities. You will be responsible for preventive and predictive maintenance task scoping, work order scheduling, asset data management, compliance oversight, and stakeholder communication across maintenance, operations, and procurement functions.
Key responsibilities
Establish, maintain, and continuously refine fleet maintenance planning and scheduling processes
Scope preventive, predictive, repair, and design-out maintenance tasks to support budgets and forecasts
Coordinate weekly work order schedules and run forecast/validation checks to catch hour discrepancies early
Set up and adjust Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks, servicing, and inspection routines
Load and manage mobile assets in Pronto CMMS and monitor scheduled oil sampling via CAT SOS
Maintain asset master data, technical documentation, job history, and service sheet repositories
Perform QA/QC checks on Power BI KPI reporting and flag operational issues to Area Managers
Manage the monthly tyre process (surveys, RIM registers, and change documentation)
Order parts, process quotes, manage PO discrepancies, and coordinate vendor/contractor relationships
Lead weekly site planning meetings and generate site Gantt charts
About you
Proven background in maintenance planning/scheduling within mobile plant, mining, transport, or fixed plant environments
Strong hands-on proficiency with Pronto CMMS, CAT SIS, and CAT SOS
Power BI experience is highly regarded
Deep understanding of work order management, asset lifecycles, and fleet data hygiene
Familiarity with statutory/DMIRS compliance and plant registration processes
Excellent communication and negotiation skills to work effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and external contractors
High attention to detail with sharp problem-solving capabilities
