Laboratory Analyst

Assists the R&D Team in laboratory-scale experiments and batch trials for new and existing products.
DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Operates food processing equipment (i.e. slicer and vacuum sealer) for laboratory-scale experiments.
- Ensures all tools, machines and equipment used in experiments are properly cleaned and sanitized before and after use.
- Sees to it that laboratory tools and equipment are properly stored and reports any issues or malfunctions
- Receives, organizes and monitors laboratory supplies and consumables; reports replenishment needs
- Assists in preparing materials needed for laboratory experiments and batch trials on new and existing products.
- Assists in the preparation and submission of experimental and existing product samples to customers.
- Assists laboratory analysts in setting up laboratory apparatus for chemical and analytical works.
- Safekeep and properly label R&D retention and library samples from experimental runs.
- Submits samples for third party microbiological, physico-chemical and nutritional analysis required for the product’s “Certificate of Product Registration” application to FDA.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Educational Attainment: College level
Work Experience: 1-3 months experience in similar position
Training/Skills Required: Basic Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) , F ood Processing NC1
