Rebar Engineer

About the role
Responsible for planning, forecasting, and monitoring monthly rebar progress and material requirements; preparing and submitting rebar cutting lists for review and approval; and supervising rebar cutting, fabrication, and installation to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and construction methodologies.
Key responsibilities
Plan, forecast, and monitor monthly rebar progress and material requirements
Prepare and submit rebar cutting lists for review and approval
Supervise rebar cutting, fabrication, and installation to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and construction methodologies
Conduct regular inspections and guide steelworkers on proper work procedures
Correct errors and ensure construction tolerances are met to minimize rework and downtime
Monitor material usage to keep rebar wastage within 3%
Maintain effective coordination with the project team, consultants, client representatives, subcontractors, and site workers
Perform other related duties as assigned
About you
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
3 to 5 years of experience in rebar engineering, structural works, or high-rise building construction
Strong knowledge in rebar schedules, shop drawings, and construction specifications
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work under pressure and manage site activities
Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel
