Occupational Health Nurse (Company Nurse)

About the role

You will manage day-to-day onsite clinic activities, provide nursing care and first aid, coordinate employee medical requirements, and support workplace health programs. You will work closely with the occupational physician, Human Resources, safety officers, and Sentinel's clinical operations team to help maintain a healthy and safe workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Assess employee health concerns, provide first aid and nursing care within your professional scope, and refer cases requiring further evaluation.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and approved clinic protocols.
• Respond to workplace illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies; coordinate referrals and emergency transport when needed.
• Follow up on employees requiring continued care and promptly escalate urgent concerns to the occupational physician and designated contacts.
• Manage daily clinic activities and maintain a clean, organized, and service-ready clinic.
• Monitor medicines, medical supplies, first-aid kits, and equipment, including stock levels, expiry dates, and replenishment needs.
• Maintain accurate consultation logs, treatment records, referral documentation, and shift endorsements, as applicable.
• Follow established procedures for infection prevention and proper healthcare waste handling.
• Coordinate pre-employment medical examinations, annual physical examinations, drug testing, and other required employee health assessments.
• Facilitate fit-to-work and return-to-work assessments, with medical clearance and work restrictions determined by the authorized physician.

About you

• Occupational Health Nurse qualification and professional registration
• Ability to assess employee health concerns and provide nursing care within professional scope
• Knowledge of occupational health surveillance, medical examinations, and workplace health programs
• Proficiency in maintaining accurate medical records and confidential employee health information
• Ability to work closely with occupational physicians, HR, safety officers, and clinical operations teams
