BU Manager

Executive search firm Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of a leading fashion distribution and retail company. We are looking for a Business Unit Head who will be responsible for driving the brand's overall success by overseeing store operations, sales management, merchandising, marketing, and human resource development across both offline and online channels. This position will report to the Director for Merchandising, on hybrid work set-up and their office is based in Makati, Metro Manila.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the business unit's strategic and annual operating plans to achieve sales, profit, and growth targets.
- Drive revenue growth through effective merchandising, pricing, promotions, and customer engagement strategies.
- Oversee retail store operations to ensure consistent execution of brand standards, customer service, and operational excellence.
- Manage merchandise planning, inventory levels, replenishment, and stock allocation to maximize sell-through and minimize markdowns.
- Analyze sales, market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and improve business performance.
- Prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial performance reports, ensuring achievement of revenue and profitability targets.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including sales, gross margin, inventory turnover, conversion rates, average transaction value, and operating expenses.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with merchandising, marketing, finance, supply chain, HR, and operations to support business objectives.
- Negotiate with suppliers, landlords, and strategic partners to optimize commercial terms and strengthen business relationships.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, financial controls, regulatory requirements, and corporate governance standards.
- Lead, coach, and develop regional managers, store managers, and support teams to build a high-performance organization.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, digital transformation, and operational efficiencies that enhance profitability and customer satisfaction.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business studies/Administration/Retail Management, Marketing or equivalent
- At least 5 years experience in retail sales operations
- Strong knowledge of merchandising, inventory management, and financial planning.
- Excellent negotiation, sales, and leadership skills, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth.
- Ability to analyze sales data, market trends, and customer behavior to inform business decisions.
- Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to improve business performance.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, digital marketing, and retail analytics tools.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail environment.
