Job Title: Purchasing Staff
The Purchasing Staff is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and procuring materials, supplies, and services needed by the company. This role ensures timely and cost-efficient purchasing while maintaining quality standards and good supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and evaluate suppliers for materials, equipment, and services.
- Request and review quotations to ensure competitive pricing.
- Prepare and process purchase orders (PO) accurately and promptly.
- Coordinate with warehouse and other departments to monitor inventory levels and material requirements.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
- Monitor order status to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any delays or discrepancies.
- Maintain an updated database of suppliers and purchasing records.
- Evaluate supplier performance and recommend improvements or alternatives.
- Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures.
- Support cost-saving initiatives and contribute to efficient procurement processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- With at least 1–2 years experience in purchasing or procurement.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple tasks.
- Proficient in MS Office applications and familiar with basic inventory systems.
- Can work independently with minimal supervision.
