Job Title: Quality Auditor – Medical Coding (BPO | EPIC | ED & Surgical Coding)
Location: Taguig, Philippines (Onsite – MCK West)Work Setup: Onsite
Start Date: ASAP (Negotiable)
Salary: Up to Php 70,000 (Based on experience; reasonable increase from current salary)
Headcount: 1 Job Summary We are hiring a Quality Auditor – Medical Coding with strong experience in BPO healthcare accounts. The role focuses on auditing coding accuracy, ensuring compliance, and improving overall coding quality across Emergency, Observation, and Surgical cases
- Perform daily coding audits based on assigned sample coverage
- Maintain minimum 95% quality accuracy
- Ensure compliance with internal and client coding standards
- Identify performance gaps and recommend process improvements
- Collaborate with coders, QA teams, and leadership
- Utilize and demonstrate working knowledge of the EPIC system
Qualifications
- Certification required: AHIMA or AAPC
- Bachelor’s degree required (RN is an advantage but not required)
- Minimum 4+ years of medical coding experience
- BPO experience in medical coding is required
Required Technical Expertise
- Emergency Department (ED) and Observation coding
- General surgical and bedside procedures
- Injection & Infusion (I&I) coding:
- IV Push
- Chemotherapy
- Non-chemotherapy infusion
- Hydration
- Strong knowledge of:
- Coding modifiers
- Surgical supply charges
- Resolving NCCI edits
- Experience validating Revenue Codes:
- 0760 – Treatment/Observation Room
- 0762 – Observation Room
- 0761 / 0769 – Treatment rooms
- Familiarity with:
- Carve-out procedure times
