Real Estate Bookkeeper

Position Type: Full-Time, Remote 

Schedule: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST 

Tools Required: QuickBooks, AppFolio

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Real Estate Bookkeeper to manage financial records, transactions, and reporting for our property management operations. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in bookkeeping practices, proficiency in QuickBooks and AppFolio, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records for real estate transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of ledgers.
• Prepare invoices, track payments, and manage tenant billing through AppFolio.
• Generate financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and expense tracking for property portfolios.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Collaborate with property managers and stakeholders to provide timely financial updates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, ideally within real estate or property management.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks (QBO/QBD) and AppFolio property management software.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities remotely.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with management and clients.
• Reliable internet connection and ability to work full-time on EST schedule.
