AU Financial Planning (Sr. Associate)

We are seeking an experienced and highly capable AU   Financial Planning (Sr. Associate) to support an established Australian financial advisory practice. This role serves as a key technical resource to Financial Advisers and plays a critical role in the delivery of complex financial strategies, client relationship management, and mortgage lending support. The successful candidate will demonstrate advanced technical knowledge across financial planning, wealth management, superannuation, insurance, investments, and lending strategies. They will take ownership of adviser support functions, lead client implementation activities, ensure compliance excellence, and provide guidance to junior team members. Beyond administration and implementation, this position requires strong analytical capability, commercial awareness, and the ability to proactively identify opportunities that enhance client outcomes and business efficiency.

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7 AM – 4 PM (PH Time)
• Work Set up: Work-from-Home
• Salary range: PHP 80,000 - 90,000

In this role, you will:

Financial Planning & Advice Support

• Lead the preparation and implementation of complex financial advice strategies.
• Analyze sophisticated client financial structures, including:
  • Cash flow management
  • Wealth accumulation
  • Retirement planning
  • Investment portfolios
  • Risk management and insurance strategies
  • Superannuation and pension planning

• Review and validate financial modelling, projections, and strategy recommendations.
• Prepare, review, and quality-check:
  • Records of Advice (ROAs)
  • Statements of Advice (SOAs)
  • Strategy papers
  • Client review documentation
• Provide technical support to Financial Advisers on complex client matters.
• Act as the primary liaison for ongoing client servicing and escalated client enquiries.
• Drive annual review processes and proactively identify strategic opportunities for clients.
• Ensure advice implementation is completed accurately and within agreed service standards.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to operational excellence initiatives.

Senior Mortgage Lending Support

• Provide advanced support across residential lending and property-related financial strategies.
• Analyze lending structures and assess their impact on:
  • Serviceability
  • Cash flow management
  • Debt reduction strategies
  • Long-term wealth objectives

• Coordinate with mortgage brokers, lenders, and external stakeholders throughout the lending lifecycle.
• Review loan scenarios and provide technical insights to advisers regarding lending solutions.
• Support complex refinancing, restructuring, and debt management strategies.
• Monitor loan application pipelines and ensure timely progression through settlement.
• Assist advisers in evaluating loan products and strategic lending opportunities.

Leadership & Team Support

• Mentor and coach junior Financial Planning Associates and administrative support staff.
• Review team outputs to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance standards are maintained.
• Support onboarding and training of new team members.
• Promote best practices across advice preparation, client servicing, and compliance processes.
• Act as a subject matter expert for financial planning systems and operational workflows.

Compliance & Governance

• Ensure adherence to all AFS License requirements, Best Interests Duty (BID), and applicable regulatory obligations.
• Conduct quality assurance reviews on advice documentation and client records.
• Support compliance audits and regulatory reviews.
• Maintain high standards of file management, documentation, and CRM record keeping.
• Identify and escalate compliance risks and process deficiencies.

We're Looking for Someone Who has:

• 5+ years of experience within an Australian financial planning, wealth management, or financial advice practice.
• Demonstrated experience supporting complex financial advice strategies.
• Strong understanding of Australian financial planning, superannuation, investments, insurance, and retirement planning.
• Mortgage lending experience highly desirable.
• Proven ability to work directly with advisers and manage sophisticated client matters.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
• Experience reviewing work, mentoring team members, or acting in a senior technical support capacity.
• High attention to detail with a strong commitment to compliance and quality assurance.
