About the role
The E-commerce Content & Catalogue Specialist (B2B) is responsible for managing the structure, accuracy, optimization, and overall performance of the company’s Shopify product catalog and collection architecture.
This role ensures product data integrity, executes on-site SEO strategies, and maintains effective internal linking logic. It also drives digital merchandising efforts to enhance site navigation, improve search visibility, and optimize the user experience—ultimately increasing conversion rates for B2B customers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Product & Catalogue Management
- Create, update, and maintain product listings, including titles, descriptions, variants, images, and PDFs
- Manage complex variant structures (e.g., individual units, boxes, cartons, pallet layers)
- Maintain metafields, tags, and overall product data consistency
- Ensure naming conventions align with SEO best practices and B2B buying behavior
- Prevent duplicate content and structural inconsistencies
- Expertise in bulk data management using Shopify CSVs or third-party tools (e.g., Matrixify/Excelify) for price updates, variant adjustments, and metafield imports
2. Collection & Site Architecture
- Build and maintain logical collection hierarchies
- Optimize category structures for clarity, usability, and search indexing
- Implement smart collections and advanced filtering systems
- Maintain internal linking between related products and categories
- Improve navigation across large SKU environments
3. On-Site SEO Execution
- Optimize product titles, meta descriptions, and URLs
- Manage redirects and canonical structures
- Identify keyword opportunities aligned with B2B search intent
- Support structured data/schema implementation via apps or theme settings
4. Digital Merchandising
- Optimize collection layouts to improve product discovery
- Enhance cross-sell and related product logic
- Support visibility of bulk purchasing options (e.g., carton and pallet pricing)
- Manage B2B-specific catalog logic, including quantity breaks, wholesale pricing tiers, and unit-of-measure displays (e.g., price per litre or per pallet)
- Monitor and adjust product visibility and ranking within collections
5. Performance Monitoring
- Use Shopify Analytics and GA4 to:
- Monitor product and collection performance
- Identify underperforming categories
- Improve bounce rate and engagement metrics
- Recommend and implement data-driven optimizations
6. App & Backend Management
- Manage Shopify apps, including installation, configuration, and removal
- Test updates and changes before publishing
- Coordinate with developers when required (no coding required, but strong understanding of platform limitations is essential)
Required Experience
- Minimum 5 years hands-on Shopify-focused experience (Required).
- Minimum 6–8 years total eCommerce experience preferred.
- Experience managing 1,000+ SKUs.
- Strong understanding of: Shopify product architecture & Metafields, Collections (manual & automated), & Redirect logic & Canonical handling
- Experience in B2B or technical product environments highly preferred.
- Strong structural thinking and taxonomy understanding.
- Preferably located near Mandaluyong City
