Quality Engineer (47699)

• Implement and monitor quality control procedures specific to metal stamping processes.
• Perform dimensional and visual inspections using appropriate measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Analyze and resolve quality issues related to die tooling, stamping defects (e.g., burrs, cracks, misalignment), and material inconsistencies.
• Lead and document root cause analysis (RCA), 8D reports, and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
• Monitor in-process inspection activities and ensure product conformance to customer specifications and drawings.
• Collaborate with toolmakers, production supervisors, and engineers to maintain product quality and reduce scrap/rework.
• Participate in internal and external audits (e.g., ISO 9001)
• Conduct training and refreshers on quality procedures and standards to production operators and inspectors.
• Support continuous improvement projects and quality system upgrades.
