Bachelors degree in Accountancy. Finance. or a related field

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is required. Non-PA can be considered depending on relevant experience

Minimum of 5 to 7 years of progressive experience in Finance, Accounting, Audit or Tax, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or senior role

Experience working in a multinational or Japanese company environment is a strong advantage

Preferably with prior exposure to external or internal audit.

knowledgeable in generally accepted accounting principles also known as Philippine Accounting Standards (PAS)

Knowledgeable in PEZA policies and procedures affecting the accounting operation of a manufacturing business operations

Knowledgeable in BIR rules and regulations governing manufacturing business operations

Key Functions and Responsibilities

Supervision and Team Leadership:

Leads, coaches, and trains junior finance staff (finance assistants, officers).

Oversees daily workflow, sets performance objectives, and conducts appraisals.

Fosters a productive, compliant, and professional team environment.

Financial Reporting and Accounting Operations:

Ensures accurate recording of financial transactions in ERP/accounting systems.

Manages month-end and year-end closing processes.

Oversees accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), cash flow management, and bank reconciliations.

Prepares and presents financial reports to management and stakeholders.

Compliance and Internal Control:

Ensures all financial transactions comply with organizational policies, donor regulations, and GAAP/IFRS standards.

Establishes and monitors internal control procedures to safeguard assets.

Coordinates with internal and external auditors to provide necessary documentation.

Budgeting and Analysis:

Reviews budget vs. actuals (BvA) and assists in preparing annual budgets and forecasts.

Analyzes financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings.

Provides financial advice to departments and non-finance staff.

General Operations:

Oversees treasury functions, including cash management and foreign currency exchanges.

Maintains document management and records retention policies.

Often serves as a backup to the Finance Manager.
