Investment Risk & Governance Officer

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Investment Risk & Governance Officer who can support investment risk monitoring, governance controls, and compliance oversight for international clients. If you’re analytical, structured, and confident working across portfolios, policies, and stakeholders, this role is a strong fit.

Work Setup: Hybrid in Makati (2x a week onsite)

Role Overview

As the Investment Risk & Governance Officer, you’ll support the identification, monitoring, and reporting of investment-related risks while helping ensure governance frameworks, policies, and controls are consistently applied across investment activities. You’ll work closely with international clients and cross-functional teams as a key point of contact for risk oversight and compliance matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess risks associated with investment portfolios, including market, credit, liquidity, and operational risk.

• Maintain and update the risk governance framework, policies, and procedures in line with regulatory standards and client requirements.

• Prepare risk reports, dashboards, and committee materials for internal stakeholders and international clients.

• Support due diligence reviews, risk assessments, and investment compliance checks.

• Coordinate with portfolio managers, compliance teams, and external auditors to ensure alignment with risk appetite and governance standards.

• Track regulatory developments (local and international) that may impact investment operations.

• Assist in the development and implementation of risk management tools, models, and controls.

• Escalate material risk issues and maintain an accurate risk register.

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Management, or a related field.

• Experience in investment risk, financial services compliance, or a governance, risk, and compliance function.

• Working knowledge of investment products, including equities, fixed income, funds, and alternatives.

• Familiarity with risk frameworks such as COSO, ISO 31000, or Basel standards is an advantage.

• Proficiency in MS Excel and risk reporting tools; experience with Power BI or similar tools is a plus.

• Strong written and verbal English communication skills for international client exposure.

• CFA, FRM, or CRISC certification is an advantage but not required.
