Senior Accountant (AO-14052)

This is a remote position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships.
- Preparation and management of taxation compliance for ITR, CTR, TRT,FBT, BAS and PTR.
- Preparation of detailed CGT calculations and Division 7A workings.
- Independent development of tax planning strategies for complex advisory matters.
- Summarising client queries in neat and concise lists for other team members to clarify with clients.
- Reviewing cloud-based bookkeeping (Xero and MYOB) to ensure data integrity.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of internal firm processes.
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience working with Australian tax law and in a public practice environment.
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
- A CA or CPA qualification.
- Strong technical tax knowledge and a high level of attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Xero and related cloud-based accounting ecosystems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills: we value "real" conversations.A proactive, commercial mindset with a drive to help clients succeed.
