5. Familiar with all the necessary statutory filing requirements for Philippines corporations, everything from permits to articles of incorporation and SEC filings?

6. Skilled in communicating, collaborating, and enforcing internal accounting policies and long-term strategies across other departments to ensure consistent adherence to accounting requirements?

What You Will Do:

Team Leadership and Process Improvement

1. Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of accuracy and continuous improvement.

2. Collaborate with other department heads to enhance interdepartment workflow and support overall business objectives.

3. Continuously review and improve accounting processes, recommending new technologies and procedures to enhance efficiency.

4. Renew permits and licenses; oversee compliance with financial regulations; ensure submission of taxes, fees, renewals.

Financial Processing and Payment Management

1. Review payment requests and flag any non-compliance with company policies.

2. Monitor disbursements to vendors and ensure they are logged properly in QuickBooks.

3. Track supplier receipt compliance and maintain records for BIR Compliance.

4. Maintain oversight of revenue recognition, cost allocations, and expense tracking to ensure accuracy and transparency.

5. Find ways to save money without reducing service quality or company stability.

6. Oversee payroll reporting, in compliance with DOLE and other statutory guidelines/regulations.

7. Coordinate payroll disbursement schedules with stakeholders.

8. Ensure written procedures for all work functions are updated, compliant, and useful.

Financial Planning, Reporting, & Analysis

1. Prepare and present timely, accurate financial statements (Income/Expense Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement).

2. Expert in Quickbooks (Understanding of QB's reconciliation logic)

3. Lead the annual budgeting process and report on the performance against budget, providing variance analysis.

4. Oversee all aspects of cash management, including monitoring of bank balances and preparing cashflow forecasts.

5. Ensure the proper and timely closing of books each month and at year-end.

6. Oversee vendor management, expense reimbursement systems, and payment approvals and employee loans.

7. Implement automation and digital tools to streamline finance processes, reducing manual work and errors.

Compliance, Risk & Controls

1. Ensure compliance with all local taxation requirements, including VAT, withholding taxes, payroll taxes, and corporate income tax.

2. Lead the preparation and submission of the Audited Financial Statement for Security Exchange Commission (SEC) and Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).

3. Oversee accurate filing of statutory remittances, returns, and coordination with tax authorities.

4. Establish and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.

5. Prepare for and lead both internal and external audits, ensuring all findings are resolved in a timely manner.

6. Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies to leadership.

More About You:

1. 2-4 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in accounting controllership role.

2. Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy.

3. In-depth knowledge of Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS), BIR regulations, and Philippine corporate law.

4. Proficiency in accounting software (especially strong QuickBooks experience) and advanced Google Sheet/MS Excel Skills.

5. Strategic thinker with excellent English communication skills.
