The General Accounting Clerk is responsible for providing support in daily accounting and finance operations. The role involves recording financial transactions, maintaining accounting records, preparing documents, and assisting with reconciliations and other accounting-related tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record and maintain daily financial transactions and accounting entries.
- Prepare and organize invoices, receipts, vouchers, and other accounting documents.
- Assist in accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Assist with bank and account reconciliations.
- Monitor and maintain accurate accounting records and files.
- Verify invoices, receipts, and supporting documents for accuracy.
- Assist in preparing financial reports and accounting schedules.
- Encode and update financial data in accounting systems or spreadsheets.
- Assist the Accounting team with month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Coordinate with other departments regarding accounting-related concerns.
- Perform other accounting and administrative tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of Accounting, Finance, or a related course.
- Previous experience in accounting or bookkeeping is an advantage.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to maintain accurate records.
- Good communication and time-management skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willing to learn and handle multiple accounting tasks.
